I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
